Μετά τα δύο πρώτα κεφάλαια του Anthem της Ayn Rand...

Κάποια στιγμή έλεγα: Τι μου θυμίζει αυτή η πρόζα... Τί μου θυμίζει... Κάτι μου θύμιζε, κάτι πολύ γνωστό...
Και τελικά το βρήκα. Μου θύμιζε τον "Legolas"... Οοοχι τον Ορλάντο με το ντεκαπάζ, το διαβόητο fanfiction μιας Laura το οποίο ήταν τόσο χάλια που έχει γίνει κλασσικό... (κλίκ στο λινκάκι για να διαβάσετε το εν λόγω fanfiction - προσοχή, μην πίνετε ή τρώτε τίποτε όταν το διαβάζετε, δεν ευθύνομαι για κατεστραμμένες οθόνες και πληκτρολόγια...)
Αν θέλετε να διαβάσετε ιστορία αντιφρονούντα σε μια κολλεκτιβιστική ουτοπία που ψιλοστράβωσε και να χαρείτε και ωραία γραφή καλύτερα διαβάστε το Dispossessed ή για σοσιαλίζουσα δυστοπία το κλασσικό 1984. Μπροστα σε αυτά, το Anthem μου μοιάζει χαμένος χρόνος.

In Anthem, Rand examines a frightening, dystopian future in which individuals have no name, no independence, and no values. Equality 7-2521 lives in the dark ages of the future where all decisions are made by committee, all people live in collectives, and all traces of individualism have been wiped out. Despite such a restrictive environment, the spark of individual thought and freedom still burns in him--a passion which he has been taught to call sinful. In a purely egalitarian world, Equality 7-2521 dares to stand apart from the herd--to think and choose for himself, to discover electricity, and to love the woman of his choice. Now he has been marked for death for committing the ultimate sin. In a world where the great "we" reign supreme, he has rediscovered the lost and holy word--"I."

After the "WE" has been overthrown by the "I" (of the few)
What we need is to love and understand the "YOU". ;-)
